A Lifelong Educator's Journey

For more than thirty-five years, I have had the privilege of teaching students at the University of Central Florida. Throughout my career, I learned that education can change lives because it helps people better understand themselves and the world around them.

My passion for health and wellness grew from my own journey. As I approached retirement, I began looking more closely at my health choices and direction. Through study, reflection, and lifelong learning, I discovered the role that nutrition, movement, mindset, and daily habits play in well-being.

That journey led me to earn a Plant-Based Nutrition Certificate through eCornell University and the T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies. It also reinforced a simple truth: small, steady changes can lead to remarkable transformations.

I wrote Revolutionize Your Health to help others better understand Type 2 diabetes, gain confidence in their ability to make healthy choices, and discover practical ways to improve their health—one small step at a time.

My Promise to You

You do not have to have it all figured out to move forward.

You do not need to become perfect.

You do not need to change your entire life today.

What you need is understanding.

You need encouragement.

And you need the confidence to take the next small step.

This book was written to help replace fear with understanding, confusion with clarity, and uncertainty with possibility.

My hope is not that you finish this book believing that I have all the answers.

My hope is that you finish this book believing that you are capable of taking the next step for yourself.

Because remarkable transformations rarely happen all at once.

They begin with one small step.
